Very unlikely to happen because the ACC is unstable
Just a matter of time until FSU, Clemson, Virginia, and NC find a way out. When that happens it’ll leave the rest of their teams in a weak position and several will jump to the Big12.

This said, of course the Utes are talking to them. They’d rather see the Big12 implode than the ACC and are hedging their bet for either possibility. They truly seem to feel that they are destined to make the cut for the expected Big1G and SEC breakaway. I personally think a combination of Big12/acc will be part of that breakaway too even if their voting power and payouts are much lower.
