Good luck with surgery and recovery.
I had appendicitis in 2020. Surgery fixed it and I was feeling pretty much back to my old self within a few days after. Enjoy the next couple of days off of work.
My CT scan to confirm the appendicitis also found Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer) which was later taken care of via surgery and several years of follow up.
It's good to hear that your CT only showed the appendicitis and didn't turn up anything more nasty lurking.
