Women's team is about top 100 when it comes to home attendance. I know there are 360 D1 women's bball teams, so 100 out of 360 is better than average, but its not interesting enough to attract top recruits. Those top recruits will need other reasons to choose to come here. Thus, its harder for women's coach to recruit here than it is for the men's coach.
