POLL: APRIL MAYHEM TIME! Disney Song Challenge - Round of 64 - #6 The Bare Necessities vs #11 Les Poissons
Our first tie is upon us. Voting will stay open for another 24 hours. The winner at tomorrow morning's post will win the contest. If it is still tied, TBD.
The Bare Necessities - A jazz song, written by Terry Gilkyson from the 1967 film The Jungle Book, sung by Phil Harris as Baloo and Bruce Reitherman as Mowgli. Originally, it was written for an earlier draft of the film that was never produced. The Sherman Brothers, who wrote the other songs in The Jungle Book, kept this as the only song used from the previous version.
Les Poissons - Composed by Alan Menken with lyrics by Howard Ashman, and features Jacques Offenbach's "Can-Can." It is featured in The Little Mermaid (1989). Chef Louis is voiced by René Auberjonois. It does not appear in the live action remake of the film.
