Risk of repeat tear. Higher risk of long term osteoarthritis. Lower functional strength at multiple time points including 6 and 12 months.

Plus most of these elite girls expect one ACL Tear but know that the second is a higher likelihood of being career ending. So very little incentive to risk coming back to soon, especially when their pro aspects aren’t as dependent on collegiate performance as other sports.

I would be thrilled if she does but I doubt it. I bet 12+ months.

I did hear that she is by far the hardest worker on the team so I’m sure she’ll do everything she can
