That said, some coaches can be authentic and genuine in bringing it up to simply pay BYU a complement for the kind of character many BYU players have knowing that most of their own guys probably wouldn't be able to live 2 years away from home doing what missionaries do.

Just don't speak of it as a major competitive advantage because whatever mental maturity is gained is offset by a sacrifice of athletic development.
