and spent most of another year there, plus numerous business trips and vacations there over the years. All told, I have probably spent around ~1,500 days there in total. In all that time, I only ever was approached or stopped by police twice, both for traffic infractions (which I described in a post above). If you've been stopped and shaken down hundreds of times there, you're probably doing it wrong, unless maybe you're Mexican and have lived there all your life and are 95 years old and live a life of crime.
