It's also interesting how quickly perceptions can change. At the beginning of
the football season things looked a lot better for football. And basketball was coming off a 5th place finish in the WCC.
At the end of this year, we may not be so bullish on basketball and half way through next football season things might look a lot better. Don't get me wrong, I'm still optimistic about the rest of the year for basketball. But some people's expectations are now too high. And rumors of football's demise have been greatly exaggerated.
