They've created an entitlement/expectation of an additional seat situation that can't always be honored. We're gonna have some upset bigguns on upcoming holiday season travel me thinks.
As someone who only flies SW a couple times a year I'm very interested to see the drama unfold here. This is a historic decision to do this and I'm not sure they've thought it through, will be very interesting.
