OU had better wins, but also worse losses.
It is what it is. I'm not going to complain about anything on the margins. And if you don't think the bowls themselves had anything to say about which teams they preferred, I don't know what to tell you. Not everybody is out to get the non Big 10 and SEC teams.

losing by 35 to a conference runner up isn’t as bad as losing by one score on the road to a conference runner up. or
