the committee clearly doesn’t care about a team proving it on the field. even a P5. all about being either big ten
or sec. even in the back end of the top 10, oklahoma got put behind penn state and ole miss even though oklahoma has BY FAR a tougher schedule than either, undoubtedly the best win in the country outside of the top 4. while ole miss and penn states best wins are iowa and tulane and ole miss got blown out by a non playoff team 52-17.
but those two have a big ten and sec patch on their jerseys and oklahoma doesn’t.

losing by 35 to a conference runner up isn’t as bad as losing by one score on the road to a conference runner up. or
