or I might be really optimistic about this team being a good team but realizing that this is a very experienced group who returned all their better players from last year who had all played together. Just as some of us tried to explain that part of BYU's issue last season was the opposite of that I tend to think we are closer to our peak right now than most other teams.

I just think we look a bit better right now, vis-a-vis other teams peak play, than we really are.

I don't think the bottom will fall out-barring injuries. I think this team is good enough to win a game in the NCAA tourney and very well may be seeded to just do that come tourney time. In anything over that is IMO -overachieving. They are a good team consisting of a deep group of good players-but there still isn't a real star/All Big 12/All American type of player that could carry BYU to a historic year. Maybe next year that will develop but right now I don't see someone of that caliber.

I went into this year fairly optimistic and BYU is better than what I was expecting-I didn't think BYU could get good enough to get an 8 seed or higher in the tourney. But I still don't believe this club can/will/ought to be seeded to reach the Sweet 16.
