Clown response. Let me break it down for you. 1. The Niners were
in dire need of a QB. 2. John Lynch was enamored with Zach's performance. 3. The Niners were confidant that Zach would be gone by the 2nd pick but if by some "off-chance" he was available by the 3rd pick they'd happily take him over Trey Lance.
They moved up to get a QB. They were happy to take Trey Lance but if they had the chance they would've taken Zach.
