Not the experience at all for my sophomore or senior, in public schools in SLC
My senior has "home release" for his last class every day (he has more than enough credits to graduate), which he uses to do homework. And that's good, because he's spending ~4 hours per day doing homework every day, as a senior--and this is "easy" compared to last year. He has way more homework as a senior than I ever did in high school. Similar story for my sophomore. Maybe just a small sample size for my kids though
