1 MPH faster than the semi they’re passing. Again, this is especially infuriating when the freeway is only two lanes. What am I missing here? Why can’t they simply speed up a little faster while they pass another semi?

One today went to pass another semi just as we were going up a mini hill, and I was super annoyed. I didn’t honk or anything, but I was naturally close to him, as there was a lot of traffic behind us. He eventually gave up and slowed down and moved back over to the right after a solid two minutes. He honked his horn and flipped me off as I drove by him. I’m like, “you’re the idiot who tried to pass the other semi AT VIRTUALLY THE SAME SPEED as we were going up a hill.”
