River. The trail condition between the two is night and day. I do all I can to avoid Jordan River when possible.

Highland Glen Park or Harvey Park in Cedar Hills are great access points to Murdock Canal and are mostly flat when heading east/south on it. But it might be further than you guys want to drive to access it.
