Girls have had date rape drugs slipped into drinks and food, a lot. It happens frequently enough to victims, especially at clubs and college parties, that they sell covers to put over the top of drinks. Bartenders are usually on watch for that behavior, and for girls who may be displaying signs of these drugs. Even if they are drinking, though, it does not mean that they are consenting to being part of situations like that. Athletes are warned about having relations with anyone too drunk or inebriated to remember consenting, for their own protection of false accusations.
I have no idea if the SDSU kicker is guilty of what he is being accused of, but the “point of view” filming of an inebriated girl does not eliminate her being a victim in the situation.
