Grew up in a LOT of houses; some are more expensive than my current digs

All were small or modest houses and I'm surprised at the prices of some. The 1100 sq ft house my parents bought new for $12k in Auburn, WA in 1965 is now listed at $425k. Two houses in Pacifica, CA are listed for $1.2M. Lots of other houses fall between.
