BYU fans have this thing where they constantly compare the Pac-12 or Utah to the SEC or to Alabama and Georgia and act as if it's embarrassing to be "far behind".
Then there's this awkward assumption that all the other conferences are on the same level as the SEC. That it's the P4 and the Pac. You look at ND beating both ACC div winners handily then losing to USC and to Stanford. Oregon beating UNC.
How is the ACC markedly superior to the Pac-12? Or even the BIG when Pac-12 schools go to Columbus and win, something no other team outside the top 5 has done this decade. Wisky lost to WSU. MSU lost to UW...who also beat Texas.
It's silly.
It's the SEC and everyone else. ACC has Clemson, BIG has tOSU and Michigan...and that's about it. But they don't stand up to the SEC either.
Big 12 is notorious for getting into the CFP and then losing in embarrassing fashion to the SEC. Every year. TCU beat Michigan which was impressive but was completely outmatched in the final.
Just as KSU was with Alabama. It's more like the P1 and everyone else.
