how they had years and years of data on Fastpass and Maxpass consumer usage and came up with Genie+, which seems to be off, unreliable and has created needless long lines for users each of the times we've been there and used it. Still worth purchasing, because not purchasing in most instances would be a miserable park experience, but just not as effective as the ride reservation system that came before it. And Fastpass/Maxpass allowed you to get multiple FP's throughout the day for one ride if you so choose... whereas with Genie+ you only get one per ride.

I doubt they will ever revert back to Fastpass machines and Maxpass (which was basically Fastpass, but on your phone, with a slight fee - it was great!) since they've pulled out the infrastructure for it across the parks, but I sure do miss it.
