I would bet Venables won’t even survive his 1st contract as HC at OU.
He will be done in 4 years as OU tries to become an SEC elite, which they will fail to do. I see them in the 6-6 to 8-4 range for the foreseeable future. The fact they are going to SEC is good to 2-3 more losses a year vs. being in Big 12.
We both have our own opinions. We will see what plays out. I think Venables is a great defensive coordinator, not elite HC material. He could definitely prove me wrong.
