He likely signs a 4-5 year guaranteed deal. Do the math, at a 5 year deal he would need to live 148 more years to make the $300k and Stanford contract even. Even if he coached only 3 years it would take 89 years to break even.

He makes way more coaching. If money is his focus it is a no brainer.
