We need to remember the reasons for home and away colors (Black and White TV)
Home Team - Dark
Away Team - Light
The Agreement was for teams to where their one away pair that they had (and reused game after game, season after season in those days), so that viewers on the team could tell the differences between the teams. For example, how else could you tell the difference between a game between Army and Navy??
I know, times have changed, but with that so has our huge level of entitlement. We have what, a uniforms combos for every single game, players have NIL deals, some fans watch games in private suites now, and players get the royal treatment.
The one that has not changed, the players do not care about what the uniforms look like, they just want to win.
