UW and UO have no $$ incentive to agree to a new GOR that really locks them in (and provides stability for PAC 10.2. They are both looking for a way into SEC or Big 10. Full stop. They’ll probably get in eventually. If they can’t get in now they’ll preserve flexibility so they can do it in a year or down the line. The inherent instability of PAC 12 and old Big 12 (with OU/ UT) was the fact they were too heavy. Post USC and UCLA departures the PAC 12 is still top heavy, much more so than the new Big 12. Whether its 10 or 12 teams UO/UW not going to commit to subsidising the whole conference for extended period of time. OSU, WSU, Cal, Arizona, Colorado don’t draw well. That’s alot of deadweight to drag around.
