don't get picked up by the Big 10 the Pac 12 will be poaching from the Big 12. I don't get why people think the big 12 is stable. It never has been stable and now it has an even more random group of teams cobbled together. Everyone is basing things of subjective revenue projections. If the pac 10 stays together they have better schools, brands, cohesion, and population than the big 12. They are hurt by the lack of interest in sports but the big 12 is still a random set of cobbled up teams. If the pac loses 2 more members (UW, Oregon to big 10 or the AZ schools to the big 12) they will be done. But if the 10 stay together I sadly like their chances over the big 12 and it’s probable byu is left out. Maybe it is me as a jaded BYU fan but that is how I see it.
The ACC is going to survive. Clemson, FSU, North Carolina, UVA will get broken up at some point to the SEC and Big 10. But there will be ACC leftovers and WV and Cincinnati will be excited about joining Pitt and UCF will be excited about joining Miami and Gtech.
There will be a power 2 and a middle 2. All 4 conferences will have access to the playoff as well as probably the top G5. The p2 will have way more money however and way more spots in the playoffs. The P2 adds teams when they increase the $$ pie for everyone. This is their only criteria. If someone in the middle 2 rises up and does that then they will move up to the P2 level. The same will happen from the G5 groups to the middle 2.
Only one of the pac 12 and big 12 survive. Geography still matters when the revenue numbers are not that different. The east coast teams are going to want to stay east and the west coast teams west. USC and UCLA got a massive revenue jump so the travel works. That won't be the case with the other schools.
