112 miles with 2600 ft of climbing. Today was a day to be grateful. The wind was either calm or at our backs. The weather was beautiful throughout the day and a few clouds covered the sun during the hottest part. We expected to finish in North Salt Lake at 100 miles, but felt so good we continued for another 12 miles before calling it a day. Goshen canyon was a great little route out of Nephi and on the way to the west of Utah lake. Mountain View Corridor was a great place to ride with wife bike lanes and a reasonably well maintained bike path. I also got to spend a few minutes with my previous bishop and good friend who lives just off the path we took.
I'm grateful for many people who helped make this trip possible; my brother for being willing to spend a week on a crazy adventure with me each year, my wife and kids for keeping everything running at home while I'm gone, my parents for driving the support truck and pumping us full of calories and liquids, and finally God for giving me a body that allows me to struggle and overcome, and a beautiful earth to travel across to experience so many different views.
I'll add pictures tomorrow when I'm able to get them off of other phones.
