Wow! Identical story to me in high school scrimmage. I actually DID rupture
My spleen, no trainers around, crawled to the sideline, Head Coach thought I was a total wimp, I was in a crazy amount of pain.
Thought it was broken ribs.
Long story short, misdiagnosed at Urgent Care, 2 days later went to ER and immediately put into ICU for 2 days and bed rest for 4 total days in the hospital.
Parents didn’t have health insurance...
