I did a lot of forestry work in the Canadian Rockies and Coastal Range. I love being in grizzly, elk and wolf country. Nothing beats water straight from glacial creeks. And you can't beat the wind in your hair on the ridge of a mountain side. Or having to hunker down in camp during an intense storm; playing cards with your kids and drinking hot cocoa. Any of these mountain ranges in the poll is worth spending a week of vacation to camp and hike.
