Weminuche Wilderness in southern Colorado. You take a train from Durango that
drops you off in the middle of the wilderness (no car access) and do a loop that is absolutely beautiful. On the loop you can hit the Chicago Basin which has three 14ers. I saw 3 moose and a big black bear really up close on my first day.
