Counterfactuals are impossible to prove, but there’s reason to believe that any
of the guys listed above could have thrived at least as well as Mac Jones in that same system. He hasn’t shown anything special as a QB in the limited snaps I’ve seen from him, but he’s led a successful offense, which is obviously to his credit.
It’s hard to imagine that Jones would have been a difference maker in Jacksonville or with the Jets.
