Yea. If he's a criminal it's really bad idea.
If he is under investigation and realizes it, it's 10x harder to catch him or get more evidence.
Go to the cops and have him investigated. It could also help solve a current investigation involving another victim. Cops know what they are doing (most of the time) Neighborhood Facebook groups are worse than cougarboard.
