Here's the thing
1) It's pure speculation, and worse insinuation
2) It is really unlikely that it is true like he laid out (see DarkCoug's post)
3) There easy avenues to get your voice out there, if it is indeed as valued as you feel it is...i.e. a podcast
4) Also if you had ownership of the station, you get to be the one to make the decisions. If you aren't an owner you will always be at the mercy of those making decisions. It is incredibly common for a merger for people and especially high paid people to lose their job. It good be for a hundred reasons.
5) I also get that is tough to leave something that you have done for 20 years and were with it through many changes, but man have some dignity. Let your work and your colleagues words speak for themselves.
