Otherwise I think he would have gone after a scoring big man much harder in the portal.

I think he likes his front court. Harward can be a force when he’s playing with confidence. We’ve seen flashes of what Baxter and Lohner can do, too. I think Pope is stacking all his chips on these guys.

I’m not convinced this team will need to have a dominant post scorer to be great. There is a LOT of firepower 1-3 with Barcello, Lucas and Knight. Any one of those guys can drop 20+anytime, and Knell is extremely dangerous when he’s hot.

I think this season will go as Lohner goes. If he can shoot the three like he did towards the end of last season, and if he can become a little more consistent in scoring around the rim, I think this group could win a game or two in the tournament.
