How is shorting a stock "intentionally devaluing" a company?
GME's business model is selling physical discs (which are an old, dying technology) from retail stores in malls (which have been dying for years). Seems like the company didn't have much of a future no matter what the hedge funds do.

I haven't read much about GME specifically, help me understand if I'm missing something?
