Agreed. Students need options and the ability to reset
The ability to leave a bad situation and start over cannot be underestimated. Whether due to problems with a teacher, bullying, social scene, or just a flashpoint for maturity, some kids need the ability to start over.
It isn't to say that the Charter will give them a better education. Rather, it is merely the fact that a second option in and of itself has value by virtue of it being an alternative.

The complaint is more about taking federal and state money without having to answer to the state on many issues
