After reading the 8-day off road test with the new Rivian, I'm convinced I'd need 800 mile range. The Rivian literally
Had a semi truck support vehicle with batteries in the trailer, the test drivers had to hit the desert at 38psi in the tires with the AC off in death valley to squeak a mere 150 miles of range.
In the sand, the 400 mile rated truck couldn't even manage 75 miles.
Even with a V8, I strap a couple jerry cans on the back and I'm instantly 150 miles greater distance, and that's with the AC on.
EVs are currently great commuters, but I'm still not sold on them for road-tripping let alone actual towing and/or off roading.
If love one for a Sunday drive and commuting though

Charging an EV is hardly inconvenient but this is still a small bit of convenience that I think people will love.

The biggest advance will be the increase of range on the electric vehicle. Wireless charging is good, but I still go on
