It's hard to take this pandemic serious when you don't know anyone that has it
I don't know anyone that has had it or been affected by it directly. That makes it easy to believe the theories that it isn't as bad as we think it is and that this is all an overreaction.

I do know many people who have lost jobs and suffered greatly economically. That makes it even harder to be confident in this current strategy. From my perspective, all the suffering is coming from the cure and not from the disease. I know that I would think differently if I even knew one person that had suffered with the disease but so far I don't. I wonder when that will change.
