2008 San Diego got hot and knocked off #24 Gonzaga and #25 SMC in the WCC
Tournament.
The Toreros went on to knock off #16 UConn in the NCAA Tournament before their luck finally ran out in the Round of 32.
SMC probably doesn't make the tournament last season without knocking off Gonzaga in the Championship (the Gaels were the 3rd to last team in per Lunardi before nabbing the auto-bid).
