teams that played poorly during the year really don't deserve an easy path
into the NCAA tournament. It may be harder for those teams to get there under this format, but there is no case to be made that it's unfair, IMO. But this is better for those teams in regards to seeding in the NCAA tournament IF they are able to get there.
