AND too many people assume that
1. More money means you find a better coach AND
2. New coach will for sure be a better coach AND
3. That the new coach {
a. won't have a learning curve OR
b. the better results we deserve will come before our patience runs out (again)
} AND
4. Assistant coaches will be improved AND
5. Holmoe .... {
a. has not chatted with the likely candidates OR
b. has no clue who the likely candidates are AND
c. has no idea how interested the likely candidates are AND
i. is lazy OR
ii. can't see the obvious OR
iii. doesn't care OR
iv. has his hand completely tied
} AND
6. Sitake was unconditionally extended for the full term of the new contract AND
7. Sitake is blind AND
8. Sitake does not feel any heat AND
9. Sitake has hit his ceiling AND
10. They (meaning armchair AD's, QB's, etc) somehow are
a. smarter AND
b. more informed AND
c. better evaluators of what is going on than the people whose job it is to "get it"
Alot of hot air is spewed brazen conviction. At it's extremes (standard CB fare) its simply a great study of human folly...
If money were simply the issue, then Nebraska would be "back", Miami would be "back", Notre Dame would be in the playoffs each year, and a host of others also. Money is a hurdle, and then a host of other considerations follow.
