It was pretty specific, he said BYU fans would do the “same thing” and the “same thing” is DM players of opposing teams with profanity and death wishes. I even said yes fans tweet rude things to players all of the time but what this guy did was pretty far out there so if someone is going to claim BYU fans would do that I’d like to see evidence of it.

Now I’m sure BYU fans did tweet things to emery but that situation was absolutely nothing like this which was an profane and threatening direct message to a player on an opposing team. It’s not the same thing so why claim BYU fans would do something like that when there’s zero evidence they would?

And you in particular are on here defending Ute fans in general saying we shouldn’t blame all of them for the actions of one guy, I agree with that, but why then do we have to accept blanket statements saying BYU fans would do what that guy did?
