Put 7 people in an Accord... then measure the cargo space.
Your logic is flawed.
The numbers you are using are with the 3rd row UP. The other cars you list don't have the 3rd row (other than the minivan). If you drop the 3rd row in the XC90 It has more than double the cargo space and can still carry 5 people comfortably.
The reason we bought the XC90 in the first place is because our sons (6'8" and 6'5") fit in the 3rd row. My 6'8" son does not sit comfortably in the back seat of an accord.
