transitioning of UVU, SUU and Dixie to Universities that is going to be why the Church sees no need to create another University. Cheaper to just add to BYU and BYUI and let the other Itah schools take care of the intermountain west. And of course those who want a prestigeous school can choose one if they don’t get into BYU. But Ithink there are enough good options now to the large intermountain west pop that the Church sees no need to create a new University.


Ideally I would have loved to keep Ricks a JC and create another BYU in CA or AZ but I think there is almost no chance that happens.
