Just because we beat Utah doesn't mean we can compete with the rest of the PAC-12, even in this supposed "down" year for the PAC.  We lost to UNLV, Mississippi State, and Weber, among others, so does that mean we'd be 3rd in the Big Sky, 11th in the SEC, and 7th in the Mountain West?  What I'm saying is people are using faulty logic to say we'd be 2nd in the PAC-12, especially given our struggles with athletic teams.
