assistant coaches. (BYU pays 2.8 for all assistants according to the data you posted, Utah pays 2.9 just for assistant football coaches according to this published data:
http://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/salaries/football/assistant )
Specifically for Utah last year:
3 coaches where at $425,000 each plus 35K bonuses, thus totaling 1.38 million just on those 3 guys. (1 which was Roderick)
1 coach at $355,000
1 at $325,000
3 coaches at $270,000 each
1 at $240,000
So for 9 assistant coaches, Utah is at 2.9 million. We (BYU) might be paying more than Hawaii but I dont think we're anywhere close to Utah.
EDIT - my original title was incorrect, its been fixed.
