Yes. Losing is losing. But you have to go with the guy that gives you the “best” chance even if that chance isn’t very good. If you go with the guy that loses by 20 instead of 17 and completes a lower percentage and makes more mistakes, he probably didn’t give you the best chance.
I know people want to just put him in and let’s see what happens but coaches can see these guys. They know what they are getting and they know who gives us the best chance even if it’s not a very good one.
I’d buy into the “give Hoge a shot” argument. Critchlow? A walk-in from SUU? He’s the answer many fans believe in?
