Yeah, you're probably right, BUT - their coach got fired mid-season last year...
-- They have a brand new offensive coordinator and a brand new offense that will be run by a QB that even LSU fans are not excited about.
-- They play an awful lot of Jacksonville States, McNeese States, Sam Houston States and Louisiana Monroes on their out of conference schedules and they play in a conference with arguably the most NCAA powerhouses, so it's not exactly a shocker that their losses are usually to elite teams.
-- With the loss of Arden Key, they are only returning 4 starters on defense, plus they are replacing both tackles on offense. They might have amazing talent waiting in the wings, but that is not exactly a formula to explode out of the gates.

Might as well be. It's not like Houston isn't too far from Baton Rouge, and it's not deep in LSU territory.
