The difference between a MLB pitcher and 99% of HS pitchers that can throw 90+
Is that they hide the ball and disguise the pitch so much better than the typical all state HS pitcher any of us that played varsity level HS baseball. It's not even close, I played against one that made it to AAA ball and I'm HS could hit him, yet seeing him a year after his minor league experience he was a completely different delivery. Crazy the jump, and speed has very little to do with it.
