My favorites right now are eldritch horror like you mentioned, scythe and probably cosmic encounter.

I recently backed my first kickstarter boardgame because I was so mad about missing out on scythe kickstarter. I backed rising son in hoping it's as good as its predecessor blood rage.

Also, you mentioned tabletop, if you haven't already check out the dicetower on YouTube. They give great reviews and their top 10 lists are always enjoyable!
