I think that your justification for the masses making fun of Staley at will is irrelevant and grossley misplaced.
You think the reason that BYU fans turned on him is because he turned pro? I have to say that I've never heard one. I've also haven't heard most BYU fans say anything derogatory about him.
I think that the yewts make fun of him on a regular basis. But then again they do their best to demean anything BYU.
